About Kill Resort Fees 

Kill Resort Fees was founded by Lauren Wolfe in February 2016 after she travelled to Key West (Doubletree by Hilton Key West) and Miami (Hyatt Centric South Beach) and was told she had to pay resort fees.* Wolfe learned that there was no effort entirely devoted to ending ridiculous hotel drip pricing known as resort fees. When back home, she started Kill Resort Fees to educate all the travelers out there about the deceptive and unfair "resort fee."

Wolfe is a licensed attorney in Washington, DC and Michigan. She’s a Fulbright Scholar. She's travelled to 97 countries and only paid "resort fees" in one - the United States of America. The hotels of the world have been friendly to Lauren so she feels it necessary to repay the favor to all tourists who visit her great country. It is time American travelers are able to focus on enjoying what America has to offer (chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick in Key West, the Britney Spears residency in Vegas, or perhaps one too many bottles of vino in Napa) instead of hotel trickery. 

Emma Lazarus said something like "Give me your tired, your up front internet bookers, your huddled masses yearning for high speed wifi, those that want to take selfies by the shore, send these, the travelers, to America's greatest tourist attractions and do not trick them with a surprise $30 when they walk through the door." And that's the mission of Kill Resort Fees.
